Marlboro was a rural area primarily consisting of dairy, potato and tomato farms, spotted with mini villages hosting a modest inn or small tavern. This was the landscape a mere 50 plus years ago, until building and improving of the area transportation system was expanded. By the 1970’s the population showed significant growth, transforming from rural to suburb. During the 80’s and 90’s the construction of new homes and housing developments continued to increase, then larger estate homes became the new norm for developers in the area.
Today Marlboro township is a delightfully vibrant community filled with shopping centers, strip malls, parks and fine restaurants and eateries. The township has a number of major transportation routes running through it as well as quick access to the Garden State Parkway. Express busses and even a train line are very accessible for those commuting to the city. The Jersey shore and many other popular destinations are within fairly close proximity, making Marlboro’s location a rather desirable one for many motivated buyers.
Marlboro township has proven to be a wonderful place to grow families, build relationships and meet new friends. It has that perfect blend of living in a thriving suburb not to distant from a major city, yet holds the quiet more simpler lifestyle as does a distant suburb bordering a nearby country side.
